Gluten Free Snacks Series: 50 Naturally Gluten Free Snacks

I've decided it's about time this series came to an end. I'll of course still post snack ideas in the future, but I've got a bunch of non-snack recipes I'm excited to share.
This last post of the "Gluten Free Snack Series" is going to be a bunch of snack ideas (I'm attempting 50, which would be hard for me even if I could add gluten-filled items) that are naturally gluten free. And simple (because I'm all about simple). Enjoy!

  1. Fruit- get creative. You can always have apples, bananas, and oranges, but try out fruits you might not usually buy (mangoes, papaya, grapefruit, berries, etc.). It will still most likely be cheaper than buying a special gluten free product and it'll probably be healthier.
  2. Vegetables
  3. Celery with peanut butter or cream cheese (add raisins for ants on a log :))
  4. Nuts
  5. Trail mixes- one without crackers, pretzels, or anything else with gluten (one of my favorite snacks!)
  6. Yogurt
  7. GF Cereal (Chex or Cocoa/Fruity Pebbles)
  8. Cottage cheese- plain or with fruit
  9. Ranch Doritos and other corn chips (a lot are GF, but not all. Unfortunately, Nacho Cheese Doritoes are NOT GF. That was one of the hardest things for me at the beginning.)
  10. Potato chips
  11. Cheetos, both crunchy and puffs
  12. Ice cream
  13. Dried fruit
  14. Raisins (which I guess can count as a dried fruit, but whatever :) )
  15. Spoonful of peanut butter and jelly (yes, I do this)
  16. Rice crackers
  17. Lunch meat
  18. Cheese slices
  19. Pickles
  20. Cheese rolled up in lunch meat
  21. Candy
  22. Candy bars- I often get a candy bar if I really want a cookie and don't have access to a gluten free one. Be sure there's no malt (barley) in the candy bar!
  23. Applesauce
  24. Fruit snacks
  25. Hard-boiled egg
  26. Crunch 'N' Munch
  27. Rice Cakes (some are GF and some are not, so check)
  28. Beef jerky (check for GF)
  29. French fries
  30. Smoothie
  31. Corn tortilla w/refried beans and cheese
  32. Pudding
  33. Jell-o
  34. Popsicle
  35. Sunflower seeds
  36. Frozen grapes
  37. Olives
  38. Salad
  39. Popcorn
  40. Chips and salsa or other dip
  41. Cream cheese balls
  42. String cheese
  43. Rice pudding
  44. Nachos
  45. Pumpkin seeds
  46. Pine nuts
  47. Pepperoni (I like eating this plain)
  48. Lettuce wraps
  49. Hot dog slices dipped in ketchup and mustard
  50. Lunch meat with cream cheese and cranberries rolled up
  51. Etc

As with everything, check each product to ensure it's gluten free.

Thanks for this list! Also, I would really like to know (and maybe you could do a post about this?) what you do when traveling, going to a friend's for dinner, or just going out to a restaurant? I've found this to be very tricky. Any tips would be great!

Great list! Be careful of lunchmeat and pepperoni, they should really be marked gluten free, just to be safe. Also, french fries...I always ask if the restaurant has a dedicated frier for fries only, if not, there is cross contamination.
