Remember the gluten free banana muffins I made?

And remember how amazingly delicious they were?image
And how I got the awesome recipe from this book:

Well, I have some exciting news:
  1. I’m going to share another recipe with you from Susan Bell’s book and
  2. a lucky reader is going to win a copy of their own!
First for the recipe:IMG_2519
I didn’t have any mushrooms, so I left them out this time, but I love mushrooms and will use them the next time I make this. IMG_2520
I did sauté some fresh spinach in the garlic butter (rather than mushrooms) and it was tasty!  Then, instead of combining the bacon and spinach with the sauce, I just added it to the top.  (Only because I ran out of spinach and there wasn’t enough to mix in.  It was still good this way though.)IMG_2521
Verdict:  This was a very tasty dish and it was easy to prepare.  I’ll definitely add the mushrooms next time I make this and maybe even keep the spinach.  Give it a try!

Now… onto the giveaway!
You can have up to 2 entries:
  1. Leave a comment on this post telling me what your absolute favorite food is (gluten free or gluten-full, it doesn’t matter).
  2. Head over to Susan’s blog, check out her great posts (full of recipes, interesting articles, product reviews, and more), then head back over here and let me know you did so (and even better, leave a comment on her blog as well).
That’s it!  2 entries just for doing those things.
The giveaway will end June 10, 2011 (2 weeks from today) at midnight.
Good luck!  This is a great book and I’m excited for the lucky reader who wins!

  1. It is so hard to narrow down and have one favorite food...I love food, I'm passionate about food, and depending upon my mood what food I love changes...I guess my favorite would be prime rib, followed closely by any dessert. :)

  2. Currently? Poppyseed cake. Colton made it a couple weeks ago... and I had forgotten how much I LOVE it. :) Yes, I know I chose a dessert. There are just too many good desserts to choose from!

  5. Hooray for a giveaway! My sister HAS to have this book! How are you doing? I love how ambitious you are and skilled at having a cooking blog. I need to visit this site more. My sister has Celiac's (sp?). She's on a mission right now and is so sickly that it's scary. Everyone keeps feeding her gluten on accident! Such an unfortunate situation. Anyway! My favorite food is? Wow. I like too many kinds of food to narrow it down... today I'll say BBQ Chicken Salad with Homemade BBQ Cilantro Dressing. We've been eating that a lot lately.

  12. I don't really have a favorite food. I love ALL food. Seriously, ask Ryan. I make him go to all sorts of different kinds of food places. Does ice cream count as food? I like that a lot too.
